My pekingese is diabetic and the vet that is treating him suggested that we feed him DCO by Purina, but I am a huge advocate for the all natural, holistic pet foods that don't contain the by-products and that also don't import grains, etc. and i was doing some research and i found out that Halo was considered a good diet for dogs with diabetes. When we went to pick up our dog from the vet tonite (he had to stay over nite for about 2 days due to having a hypoglycemic crisis) the vet was pretty offended when i told her that i didn't really like the ingredients that were in the Purina food, and i showed her the bag of Halo and she was once again offended that i did research and went out on my own and purchased food for him, which i don't really care because this is my pet and i want the best for him, however, the wet and dry dog food from Halo, is it considered to be a good diet for a diabetic canine?
