My 6 month old puppy eats his poop. ..came from the breeder that way. I've read alot of articles about coprophagia. I've tried bananas, pineapple...didn't work. I've read about other solutions and I don't like the ingredients in the products on the market... This article was the first to suggest bahavior modification, "leave it". I will try this...it may just work. I have a very smart puppy and has learned other commands very quickly. Thanks for the no drug suggestion!!!

We noticed that my 10 yr old lab/retriver mix breath got really bad . Then we discovered him eating doggy poop. Never did this before, and we are brushing his teeth to get rid of the bad breath. Any suggestions would help.

I'm nominating this article as "best blog post ever". My old dog (bless his soul) used to eat a lot of his own poop. He always seemed fine, so we didn't think too much of it. He ate a lot of other stuff he wasn't supposed to eat too like women's used maxi pads. Can you write an article about that?
