Humane Society Gets Its Cabinet Choice
December 18th, 2008 by David YaskulkaWe generally stay clear of politics here, but I thought you’d be interested in this Tails Magazine story on President-elect Obama’s Secretary of Agriculture appointment — the post responsible for laws pertaining to puppy mills and dog fighting, as well as the Animal Welfare Act. 
The Humane Society of the United States ran a campaign petitioning the president-elect regarding this post, and in the end got their man (though were less happy about the Secretary of Interior choice).
You’ll recall that Halo’s own Ellen DeGeneres was featured on last month’s cover of the magazine.
