May 1st, 2009 by Diane Herbst
Do you know what to do if your pet gets into a substance that might be poisonous, has heat stroke or even a bug bite?
Help is just a phone call away, with veterinarians working around the clock working at the ASPCA poison control center open 24 hours a day, 365 days year, at 888-426-4435.
All calls are answered by veterinarians.
Some of the top poisons for pets include human medications; foods such as raisins, grapes and chocolates; fertilizers; insecticides; and even pet meds.

A $60 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card, but all follow up calls are free.
