I just got back from a trip to Pennsylvania with my two dogs, and stayed at a Holiday Inn that charged $15 per dog, per night. We all enjoyed our stay.
Holiday Inn is just one of a growing number of hotels and motels to offer this convenience for those of us who wish to bring our pets along for the ride.
Check out luxurypaw.com, petswelcome.com, DogFriendly.com and DogFriendlyHotels.org, for a plethora of lodging options, or get Fodor’s “On the Road with Your Pet,” a Mobile Travel Guide.
And for a unique option for air travel, check out Pet Airways, the world’s first pet-only airline.

We are glad you enjoyed your trip to Pennsylvania! We wanted to let you know that, in addition to the sites you provided above, we launched a website almost 2 weeks ago that also provides pet-friendly hotel choices, but also had detailed pet policies, including additional charges and size restrictions. You can also find pet-friendly campgrounds, beaches, shopping center, wineries, national parks, restaurants, off-leash parks, doggie day care facilities, pet sitters, boarding facilities, and pet supply stores – everything you’ll need to make a trip unforgettable, all in one place!! You can even plan a road trip, and we’ll locate the pet-friendly hotels and campgrounds along your route. The site is http:www.GoPetFriendly.com . We hope you’ll come visit!
