HOW TO HELP HAITI’S ANIMALS
January 29th, 2010 by Diane Herbst
If you’ve been following the devastating news from Haiti, the photos of bloodied children and adults is heartbreaking. But what about the animals? And what can you do to help in Haiti?
A multi-agency group called Animal Relief Coalition for Haiti (ARCH) is now in Haiti assessing what the animals need. One of ARCH’s members is a Halo friend, the Best Friends Animal Society, America’s largest sanctuary for abused and abandoned pets.
The Utah-based rescue is accepting donations that go directly to help Haiti’s homeless and sick animals. Click here to make a donation.

If you want to go to Haiti and help, Best Friends is lining up volunteers with a history of responding to major disasters and with experience handling small and/or large animals. Click here for more information. If you are interested in volunteering, please email bfvolcoord@bestfriends.org.

So good that someone does something for the animals as well! I actually thought of it the other day, that there probably is a lot of animals in need of help! Lots of kudos to Best Friends Animal Society!

the poor animals over their need help just as the humans do. I know in dire straights the animals will most likely fall by the way side but they need some sort of attention.
