As you may know, Halo, Purely for Pets loves to help out homeless cats and dogs, with hundreds of thousands of meals already donated to rescues nationwide.

This weekend, Halo joins forces with PETCO in sponsoring National Pet Adoption Weekend events at stores across the country, On April 17th and 18th, homeless pets in need of homes will be in stores for you to meet and greet.

If you adopt a pet this weekend, HALO will give you $5 off of HALO Spot’s Stew for dogs, puppies or cats to make sure your new family member gets off to the right nutritional start.

As Halo VP Marketing Communications David Yaskulka said last night on Martha Stewart Living Radio Show Cat Chat, “We’re honored to participate in this event as part of our commitment to donating 1 million meals to animal rescues.”

Cat Chat’s host, pet expert and award-winning author Tracie Hotchner, will be at the Westland Petco in Detroit, Michigan on April 18th at 2 p.m. giving a talk about proper nutrition and signing copies of her books. Friends of Michigan Animal Rescue, a recipient of Halo donations, will be there. They’ll have Halo Liv-a-Littles treats to give away as well!
