At Pets for Patriots, we’re thankful for the support of our sponsors, and HALO for Pets is like no other. We’ve been approved for entry into the Pepsi Refresh Everything grant competition, where we’re competing with hundreds of other causes for a $50,000 grant. This is money we desperately need to keep our mission alive and to continue making a positive impact for shelter pets and U.S. veterans.

People like Raymond, a disabled Army veteran in Texas. In spite of already caring for seven rescued dogs and cats, Raymond is joining Pets for Patriots for a sense of belonging and purpose. Or Bobby, an Army veteran in Florida, who adopted Red to fill the void left by the death of his 14-year old dog. As he recently told us, “Pets give you a reason to live.”

Here’s how the competition works: we motivate our friends (you!) to vote for our cause every day. If we’re in the top 10 of candidates in the $50,000 category by October 31, we win $50,000! (By the way, so do the other nine organizations). It’s critical that we get into the top 10 as quickly as possible – and stay there.

So without further ado, head to our page and vote for us. You must be logged in either to your Facebook account or, if you don’t have one, sign up for a free Pepsi Refresh account and vote. While you’re there, you can vote for up to nine other causes every day – just make sure you vote for us first!
