HSUS PETS FOR LIFE LA EVENT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS

The Humane Society of the United States Pets for Life program sponsored a Free Rabies Vaccine event this past Saturday at Hollenbeck Park in Los Angeles. Amanda Arrington, Director of Pets for Life tells us “The event this past weekend was another huge success!”

Arrington states “This was our last event of the year and a great way to close out 2012 for PFL! We served 456 dogs and cats, with 72% of them being unaltered (our target audience) and of those, 79% signed up for free spay/neuter!”

Freekibble.com donated 5,000 meals of Halo Spot’s Stew for the participating pet owners of this event. Arrington said “As always, the Halo food you donated was a huge hit and so greatly appreciated by the pet owners.”

HSUS Pets for Life builds humane communities using innovative strategies and fresh approaches designed to extend the reach of animal services, resources, and information to under-served areas.
