Big Dog Puts Smaller Shelter Dogs at Ease

He once was a scared shelter dog himself but now a gentle giant named Charlie is helping other frightened pups adjust.

According to The Denver Channel, Charlie is a 100-pound American Bulldog Mix. The nine-year-old has been in a shelter, foster homes and now in his forever home with Alaina Bupp of Denver.

Charlie’s very happy with his family. “He’s about nine-tenths teddy bear,” Bupp told the The Denver Channel. “He loves to just lay on the couch.”

After fostering (and adopting!) Charlie, Bupp wanted to foster more dogs but she was afraid of how the big dog would react to other, smaller dogs in the home.
