Last month we celebrated Austin Pet month with our retail partner, Phydeaux & Friends. Austin, Texas is the first city to officially establish a pet month and recognizes May 2016 as Austin Pet Month. It focused on reducing the over crowded shelter population through adoption and fostering awareness, responsible pet ownership and engaging the community.
Shelters and rescues participated in the event. Adette Quintana of I Once Was Lost Animal Advocacy said, “There aren’t really any words to describe it. You’re bring unconditional love into your home in exchange for feeding them healthy food and taking proper care of them. You can’t beat that.”
