ELLEN GIVES HALO TO CHELSEA HANDLER AND HER RESCUE DOG, CHUNK

April 2nd, 2010 by Caroline Chang

chelsea3On the Ellen Show March 19, 2010, Ellen interviewed Chelsea Handler, host of E! Network show “Chelsea Lately” and author of “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang” which is #1 on the New York Times best sellers list. She tells Ellen how she came to rescue a dog named “Chunk” who is pictured with her on the cover of her book.

Ellen asked Chelsea, “Is this true, you never wanted to rescue a dog before, you never liked dogs?” Chelsea replied, “I never wanted to walk dogs or clean up.” But when a friend’s dog was about to be destroy she stepped up to the plate, “I said ‘No doggie, you’re coming with me.’ And now he sleeps in my bed.”

Ellen loves to give gifts to her guests. “I got something for Chunk,” she revealed. “I own a pet food line; I know that the food that was given to him at one point was not really the healthiest. And my pet food line is the healthiest food. So I have food for your dog; it’s called Halo, it’s all natural, it’s all pure.”

Most importantly, please come chat about why Halo is the #1 brand that does NOT use any “meals” or other rendered meats in any of our formulas. You won’t find chicken meal in Halo Spot’s Stew — only real chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, salmon and other pure proteins.

Last year at Global, Halo co-owner Ellen DeGeneres was honored with the prestigious “Journalism and Outstanding Contribution Award” – in large part because of her association with our holistic, all-natural pet food.

I’ll be there, and lots of my great Halo colleagues. Please come say “hi” if you’re at the show!

ELLEN’S MONOLOGUE “DOGS ARE SO AMAZING, SO SMART!”

March 2nd, 2010 by Caroline Chang

ellendogscapCheck out this funny video clip of Ellen DeGeneres’ monologue from the Ellen Show that aired on Thursday, February 18th.

Ellen really loves her dogs Wolf and Mabel; it was a few years ago she was looking for some dog food for Wolf who was allergic to everything.

Ellen explains, “I tried everything, our vet tried everything and finally I found a little company that had the perfect food for him. It’s called Halo, Purely for Pets.

So, because I think Halo is incredible, I decided to become part owner in hopes that all animals have the chance to be the healthiest they can be.”

Ellen is amazed by dogs, explaining, “We think we’re so much smarter than animals. Dogs can understand what we’re saying, but we can’t understand what they’re saying. Doesn’t that make them a little bit smarter?”
