I’ve been using HALO Dog & Cat Food products since I was first introduced to them by Ellen DeGeneres. Love the way our dog, Jax (Rottweiler) looks and acts. He is looking more & more healthy with his clean and shiny coat, and his eye’s have no more morning or daily discharge and he is just totally more fit in every way!!! As is our cat, Bandit! Thanks so Much Ellen and HALO!!! ALL MY / OUR LOVE, SUPPORT, & HUG’S!!!;

I have been a loyal user of Eagle Pack pet foods for almost ten years. However, a short time ago the company was sold to another pet food producer, but it was put out there that the Eagle Pack formulas would not be changed. I have continued to use it, but then last month I purchased a new bag for my cats. Within a two …week time frame my cats became lethargic, were vomiting up what they ate and started to look shabby, dull coats etc.
I stopped the Eagle Pack and changed to Halo. WOW! WHAT A CHANGE! Should have done it a long time ago. Flash and Gary are more energetic, healthy coats, and they love love love the food. THANKS SO MUCH. Love it so that I now have all my pets on it. They are happy for it and so am I.
I have to say I am impressed with the food! It has now been a week and they are all looking so well and energetic.
I had the great pleasure of meeting Jone Bouman, the head of communications for American Humane, at the April 30 animal rescue stamps dedication in Hollywood.
The first thing she told me was “my shelter dog ONLY eats Halo Spot’s Stew!” As you may know, American Humane is the organization that assures the humane treatment of animals on TV and in the movies (”No animals were harmed”).
Here’s Jone (with her beloved Twigden) telling us why she chose Halo. Thanks so much for the kind words, Jone!
Here’s a guest blog from Angela Coulombe, whose wonderful photos you have seen here, on halopets.com, and in our email newsletter.

When Halo Purely for Pets, a company co-owned by Ellen DeGeneres, contacted me to work with them again see Angela Coulombe Photography Blog, I was over the moon. Halo’s mission, to provide people and their pets with honest information and wholesome products to better the lives of animals and the people who love them along with their three guiding principles: balance, nature and love, make this one company who’s principles are in line with mine and products I enjoy photographing.
I was focusing on two products: Adult Dog Formula Spot’s Stew Wholesome Chicken Recipe and Adult Dog Formula Spot’s Stew Wild Salmon Recipe. My brief was to show the natural, healthy and wholesome ingredients that go into each product. And here is what I LOVE about the products the most: the ingredients!!!! Just reading the packaging, you realize these are home-style recipes with easy to recognize and understand ingredients. Spot’s Stew Wholesome Chicken Recipe contains, for example, Chicken, Eggs, Pea Protein, Oats, Pearled Barley, Whole Peas, Chicken Liver, Salmon, Flax Seed, Salmon Oil Pea Fiber, Sweet Potatoes, Apples, Blueberries, Green Beans, Carrots, Cranberries, Zucchini, Alfalfa just for starters (even I know what all these ingredients are). Spot’s Stew Wild Salmon Recipe contains Salmon, Eggs, Pea Protein, Oats, Vegetable Broth, Pearled Barley, Whole Peas, Chicken, Flax Seed, Salmon Oil, Pea Fiber, Sweet Potatoes, Apples, Blueberries, Green Beans, Carrots, Cranberries, Zucchini, Alfalfa amongst other nutritious ingredients. Perhaps most importantly, though, Halo NEVER uses chicken meal or other rendered products, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Real meat, poultry or fish are the #1 ingredients in these foods.
Below is a small selection of images that illustrate the wholesome, fresh ingredients that go into making Halo Purely for Pets products. Feeding your pet Halo is like giving them a table-ready, wholesome, fresh meal.
Luvmydogz from Texas reviews Halo Spot’s Stew Chicken Recipe Canned Dog Food on Petco.com:
“My dogs (Yorkie and Dashound) love this food and the best part is that it actually smells/looks like food. I will never go back to giving them mystery “food” again. Their coats are shiny and even their eyes look more bright/clear.”
The best part is that it actually smells/looks like food!
“My overweight dog has lost some weight and settled on a healthy weight since she has started eating Halo. My only complaint is that stores have a hard time keeping it in stock, especially the 20 oz cans. I hope Petco keeps this wonderful product in stock!”
