A current campaign, Don’t Let Me Down by the New Mexico Equine Protection Fund, is raising money to help families who are struggling to care for their horses.
The Equine Fund is the first animal welfare program available to all horses, donkey, and mules throughout New Mexico.
More than 650 equines have been helped since 2010 through The Equine Fund’s feed assistance and other welfare programs.
Weather and economic problems are making it tough for many families in New Mexico to care for the equines who help them and provide companionship.
We’re extra excited for LoveAnimals.org and the New Mexico Equine Protection Fund because this campaign has a matching grant. The campaign is more than halfway to its goal and has less than a week. We hope the campaign is a success so that many animals can receive help.
