Halo would like to thank teen actor and founder of Kids Against Animal Cruelty, Lou Wegner, for helping rescues at the Dog Film Festival. He was on the green carpet with his rescued dog, Joey, for photo opportunities.
The LA event took place earlier this month on June 5th with an Afternoon Pooch Party at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital on June 4th.
The Dog Film Festival grew out of Tracie Hotchner’s desire as a pet wellness advocate to expand her Radio Pet Lady Network‘s outreach to educate about adoption, pet wellness issues and philosophical aspects of pets in our lives. The Festival is a unique way of honoring dogs as true family members by bringing together like-minded people to experience global filmmakers’ celebration of the human-canine bond. Tracie has chosen films that inspire, educate and entertain, and are appropriate for all members of the (human) family.
As a Film Festival Sponsor, in partnership with Freekibble and GreaterGood.org, we are proud to announce that we will be making a 10,000 bowl donation of Halo food to The Lange Foundation and the Downtown Dog Rescue in LA.
As always, Halo will donate a bowl to a shelter every time YOU buy.
