The Coffee County Humane Society in Manchester, TN is a small network of foster homes that strives to promote the public interest in the general welfare and humane treatment of animals to prevent their suffering, neglect and abuse.

Halo is proud to partner with Freekibble.com and GreaterGood.org to make a WHOLE lot of difference for shelter pets together.

Here’s what Coffee County Humane Society had to say about a recent Halo Pets donation:

“This food was a great benefit to our foster care program as many of the dogs are in a malnourished state and need high quality food to regain their health. It was also used for nursing mama dogs as we sometimes take in very pregnant dogs who are turned into the public dog shelters in our county. Then the puppies are fed this food also once they are weaned.

Because of the very generous donation, we were able to share some of the food with other 501(c)3 rescues in our county and this was very helpful to small rescues on a very shoestring budget. In addition, we help low income families with pet food needs on an individual basis in emergency situations, such as job loss, unexpected monthly expense, illness, etc.

Often times temporary help with feeding their pet, is the difference between a family being able to keep their pet at home or surrendering it to a public shelter. Our goal is to help low income families keep their pets in their homes with them as often as is possible. Being able to lend a helping hand to families in emergencies so that they can feed their pets is an important community outreach for our organization.

Buster from the Coffee County Humane SocietyBuster is a foster dog who because of his age and overall health issues, turned out not to be adoptable. So he became a permanent resident of one of our foster homes. He absolutely loved this food and it made him happy in his advanced age as he really looked forward to mealtime. It was wonderful to see him with a healthy appetite. We took Buster into foster care due to a divorce in his family and terminal illness of the owner, so it was a sad situation and we were happy we could offer sanctuary to this older dog in need.”

Thank you The Coffee County Humane Society for making a WHOLE lot difference for pets in your community.
