After being involved in the #MeatlessMonday campaign since 2011, The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is continuing to spread the movement. Many celebrities like Laura Marano and Kate Mara have participated in the campaign. Now Oprah Winfrey recently reaffirmed her support of the movement.
Oprah recently interviewed president and CEO of HSUS, Wayne Pacelle, who is also the author of a new book, Humane Economy. Oprah asked what small things people can do in their lives to have a big impact for animals. He suggested that one easy, high-impact action would be to join our Meatless Mondays campaign. Right after the show ended, Oprah tweeted the following to her 33.5 million Twitter followers:
.@waynepacelle That I can do. Have “Meatless”Mondays! Who will join me? #SuperSoulSunday

We at Halo do our own version of Meatless Mondays with our Vegan Garden Medley recipe for dogs. It is a holistic alternative diet for protein-sensitive dogs and a complete and balanced all-vegan kibble and cans. Plus, there is no rice. We only use protein from lower-glycemic ingredients like chickpeas.
So if you’re thinking about joining the #MeatlessMonday campaign, include your dog! Give Vegan Garden Medley a chance and let us know what you (and your dog) think!
