It’s every parent’s nightmare: finding their young child unresponsive in a swimming pool. But thanks to the heroics of a dog named Bear, one family’s son survived what could have been a terrible tragedy.
According to the Sturgis Journal, Patricia Drauch of Marcellus, Michigan was outside gardening. Her 14-month-old son, Stanley and their black lab, Bear, by her side.
Drauch headed into the garage like she normally does. Stanley was right behind her…for a minute. Then, suddenly, he wasn’t.
Frantically, Drauch rushed around the yard, looking for him. She found him floating face up in the family’s swimming pool.
