Cruises are a lot of fun for people of all ages. One kitten in Stockton, Calif. thought it would be a lot of fun for cats, too!
According to the Record, a group of cruisers were getting ready to board the Opportunity Cruises boat, the California Sunset, for a two-hour cruise on the San Joaquin River Delta.
As they were boarding, a young girl spotted a stray kitten and brought him to the boarding plank.
Unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed on the boat so the girl was asked to leave the cat behind. With help from some other passengers, the girl found a safe spot near the dock and left the kitten there.
This determined kitten had no intention of being left behind, however!
As the boat departed, the passengers could see that the kitten was standing on the edge of the dock, watching them. Passenger Christine Cummings told the Record that passengers were worried the kitten would try to jump in the water. “People were saying, ‘No, don’t jump,’” But, Cummings said, the cat dove in.
