Cats can be bothersome when they try to wake you up in the middle of the night. But one cat’s persistent prodding may have saved his owner’s life.
According to The Loca, a Swedish news outlet, Annie Narvefors of Karlskrona in southern Sweden was asleep when Nalle began poking her with his paw. He wouldn’t stop.
Annoyed and still half asleep, Narvefors prepared to chastise the ruthless cat when she noticed an odd smell of burning plastic. She looked at her cell phone and noticed the charger was smoking.
She woke up right away and quickly unplugged the phone.
Narvefors is eternally grateful for Nalle’s persistence. The smoking charger could have turned into a much bigger problem had the cat not alerted her that something was awry.
