The Berkeley Humane is a non-profit organization, providing complete care (rescue, rehabilitation, placement) to homeless animals since 1927. They serve the people and animals of their community by providing life-saving programs for cats and dogs, cultivating compassion, and strengthening the human-animal bond.
Halo is proud to partner with Freekibble.com and GreaterGood.org to make a WHOLE lot of difference for shelter pets together.
Here’s what The Berkeley Humane Society had to say about a recent Halo Pets donation courtesy of rescue dogs and America’s Got Talent winner, the Olate Dogs:
“The Halo food donated to us was put to good use. We were able to rescue animals from city shelters knowing we have the resources to provide our high standard of care.
Upon receiving the food donation from Halo this past March, we were able to rescue animals all throughout the month knowing that we already had the resources to keep them fed on a high quality diet. Purrvana was a 12-year-old senior cat who we were able to give a 2nd chance to despite her age. Instead of spending our limited funding on food, we were able to redirect our resources towards providing medical care.
Honesty was another cat who we were able to rescue and help. She was a tiny 7-pound orange cat who appeared reserved at first, but all it took was a few gentle words and scratches under the chin for her to forget about her worries and perk right up. We were able to give her the time she needed to warm up, and it took no time for her to find a loving home.”
Thank you Berkeley Humane Society for making a WHOLE lot difference for pets in your community.
